Sung-chil, a stubborn 70-year-old man, lives alone and works part-time at a local supermarket. Jang-soo, the owner of the supermarket and the chairman of the city’s redevelopment project, has been trying unsuccessfully to get Sung-chil’s signature (he is the last holdout and the only reason for the project’s delay). However, Sung-chil stubbornly refuses any changes to his way of life.
Then he meets his new neighbor, Geum-nim, a friendly and warm-hearted older woman who runs a flower shop next door. Despite their age difference, Sung-chil, who is inexperienced and clumsy in romance, finds encouragement from the entire town and Geum-nim to stand up for himself and go to court. However, Geum-nim’s daughter, Min-Jung, disapproves of their relationship.
